I. Objective:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: Practice the way how to
express “like or dislike”, and apply for real life.
- Vocabulary review: water, juice, pasta, pizza, chips.
1. Previous knowledge:
- Vocabulary: bananas, oranges, fish, salad, rice.
-Grammar: Recognize grammar “I like…. and I don't like….”,
vocabulary about food I like (salad); I don't like (fish) etc.
Students know: Practice and apply the structures in daily communication.
2.Competence: Develop skills such as listening, speaking and viewing
Me: Recognize the importance of using “I like / I don't like “in daily
communication.
Act: Learn English through games, actual situations and discover the special
cultures in Italy.
Students with disabilities can review vocabulary review: water, juice, pasta,
pizza, chips. And practice newwords: bananas, oranges, fish, salad, rice.

Set the scene
- Ask Ss to look at activity 1 in their books (page
39).
- Name the character in activity 1, for example:
David, Jane, their mum, their dad and their
grandma.
- Ask the Ss that today they are visiting David
and Jane's family. David, Jane and their family
are having dinner. Ask them to look at the food
and drink in the picture and call out the names of
the food and drink in Vietnamese first.
Vocabulary presentation
- Use the pictures in slide 5 to slide 9 to
introduce vocabulary of food and drink to
students.
- With each slide, show the picture first, then
ask Ss "What is it?”/"What are they?", call
some Ss to stand up to answer and wait for SS'
answer (Vietnamese answers are acceptable).
- After that, show the answers on the slides, play
the audio for the whole class to listen and repeat
(repeat chorally, in group, and individually).
- Then, show the flashcards of the words (both
picture side and word side), ask Ss to listen and
repeat the words again, then stick the flashcards
on the board one by one and write down the
words.
- After introducing the new words one by one,
use the powerpoint slide or flashcards to review
all the words for Ss.
- Read the words first, and then ask the whole
class to repeat chorally.

Game 1: “Cowboy”

- Divide the class into 2 teams and have Ss play instructions
- Play the game.

khoảng 1 bước chân và để 2 tay ra phía sau
lưng. Thầy/cô sẽ chọn ngẫu nhiên 2 tờ flashcard
và đưa cho 2 bạn và không bạn nào biết
flashcard của người kia là từ gì. Hai bạn tham
gia trò chơi sẽ dùng tay giữ chặt tờ flashcard
được nhận ở sau lưng, mặt tranh của flashcard
quay ra phía ngoài. Khi thầy/cô bắt đầu trò chơi,
2 bạn người chơi sẽ phải di chuyển vòng quanh
nhau thật nhanh để quan sát xem bạn mình đang
cầm tờ flashcard của từ vựng nào rồi đọc to từ
vựng đó lên. Trong khi di chuyển, người chơi
cũng phải chú ý che chắn khéo léo để đối thủ
không nhìn được là mình đang cầm tờ flashcard
