Unit 4 - Lesson 6-PRACTICE
I. Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify toys.
1. Vocabulary: puppet, guitar, scooter, ball, teddy bear, kite.
Students with disabilities can review the toys: puppet, guitar, scooter, ball, teddy
bear, kite, bike, yo-yo, video game, doll. And talk follow their friends about their
toys.
II. Materials required for the lesson: Pupil's book P41, pencils, PowerPoint, song,
chalkboard, flashcards, CD.

Note: T plays the CD and pauses after each toy and let
them colour. T checks with powerpoint slides.
GAME: AMAZING RACE
Invite 2 teams, each team has 4 or 5 members. Have them
make 2 lines. 2 students play for each turn. T shows
flashcards and asks them to call out the words. Whoever
says the word first and correctly will get a star for his/her
team. Take turn. The team which gets more stars will be
the winner.
* Activity 2: Write s, d or m and say:
*Aims: students review the vocabulary about the topic toys:
puppet, guitar, scooter, ball, teddy bear, kite. Practice
reading and writing skills.
Students with disabilities can review the toys. And write
follow their friends about their toys.
*Procedure:
- Have Ss open the book page 41. Ask Ss to look at the
pictures and say the words out loud. Ask students to look at
the scooter and say scooter out loud. Have Ss look at the
word “scooter”; T makes the “s” sound slowly, pronounces
“scooter” and asks Ss to guess which letter they need (s,d
or m). Write “s” and say the word out loud.
- Ask Ss to complete the activity on their books. Do the
same with the others then go around helping and eliciting
the words for them. Check the answers with the class.
GAME: RESCUE FRIENDS
Explain the rules for Ss.
Each S will choose 1 insect. He/ she has to answer the
question. For each correct answer, he/she will help the
insect go out of the web. If he/ she gives wrong answer, he/
she cannot save it. There is a lucky star in which they don't
need to answer any question.
Production
T prints different pictures of toys and asks students to
colour to make their own toys.
Invite 2 ss to come to the board and talk about their toys

Show the picture and ask students to call out all the toys in
those pictures. Ask Ss to describe the pictures by answering
questions: + How many people are there? – Name each
character. + What are they doing? – Ask Ss to guess what
happens. T leads to the story of (Linda). Have Ss listen to the
CD 2 times and repeat, then listen again and point to the
pictures.
